Conservative Councillors call for a dedicated meeting of Cheshire West and Chester Council to consider the Borough’s proposed new Waste Strategy.
Labour are wanting to push through their controversial Waste Strategy during a packed agenda at a remote ‘Informal Council Meeting’ on 15th July but 8 Conservative Councillors have called on the Council to hold a Formal Special Council Meeting in person on 29th July, with a single item on the Agenda – the Waste Strategy.
Weaver & Cuddington Councillors Charles Fifield and Paul Williams share the serious concerns about the proposed strategy already raised by many local residents. Cllr Fifield, said: “The proposed Waste Strategy and £40 green bin charge has caused huge concerns amongst my residents and as such I feel it deserves to be dealt with at a Special Meeting of the Council to ensure it is properly debated and considered by the Council.”The Notice has been signed by Conservative Councillors Chris Basey and Lynn Riley of Frodsham ward, MIke Baynham of Winsford Over & Verdin ward, Keith Board of Great Boughton ward, Simon Eardley of Saughall & Mollington, ward, Charles Fifield of Weaver & Cuddington ward, Jill Houlbrook of Upton ward and Helen Weltman of Davenham, Moulton & Kingsmead ward.
